Grammy-nominee Marsha Ambrosius digs deep and makes beautiful music with Ne-Yo on her new single, “Without You.”
“Looking in the mirror, I’m all in my feelings/Got me f-cked up/Without you,” sings the British singer-songwriter on the soulful ballad, produced by Brandon “B.A.M.” Alexander (“Stay“) and co-written by Ambrosius and Stacy Barthe.
The track is the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album, Friends & Lovers, due later this year via RCA Records.
Ambrosius previously previewed the album last year with the Diplo-produced “Cold War.” The accompanying music video featured a reunion of sorts for actors from HBO’s The Wire with Michael K. Williams and Felicia “Snoop” Pearson making cameos.
“You can expect me to be a complete asshole on one album,” she told Rap-Up last year. “Honestly and openly, the expressions of a woman, a very honest woman, and I’m not taking any prisoners.”
The album follows her 2011 debut, Late Nights & Early Mornings, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the Grammy-nominated single “Far Away.”
